To go back to IE8 from IE9, the step is to uninstall IE9.
- Go to Start \ Control Panel \ Programs and Features (or type appwiz.cpl at search box).
- Click on View installed updates
- Go to IE9, right click and uninstall.
- Restart the computer.
- Set up preferences for IE8 if you choose to.
